I see how that the circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are” – Mewtwo (Pokémon – Mewtwo strikes back)

TICS is a great experience to get to know both, new People from all over the world but also yourself. During a crisis things often become very stressful and hectic. Find out if you have what it takes to keep calm and find good solutions.

“I do not bring with me today a definitive solution to the problems of war. What I do know is that meeting these challenges will require the same vision, hard work, and persistence of those men and women who acted so boldly decades ago. And it will require us to think in new ways about the notions of just war and the imperatives of a just peace.” – Barack Obama

TICS gives you the opportunity to openly discuss your visions of a peaceful world with international students. Our beautiful college town provides an excellent setting for heated debates and international exchange.

Lucas Freidel – Registration and Foreign Relations Manager

Cellular and Molecular Plant Biology

“You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today” – Abraham Lincoln

In my studies I learned that everything is connected and topics cannot simply be isolated from issues they touch, especially politics. Being part of many international research teams has a great impact on my interest in gaining new experiences and meeting people from all over the world. This is why I want to participate in TICS 2017. TICS opens a great opportunity for people to improve their skills under crisis conditions – no matter what background they have.

Jonathan Roeßler – Sponsorhips and Partnerships Manager

Jochen Schlotterbeck

History (Major) and Philosophy (minor)

“We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other’s happiness – not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is no room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way” – Charlie Chaplin

The International Relation Society at University Collage Cork introduced me to MUN. At ÉireMUN I had my first experience as a helping hand. ScotMUN was the first experience as a delegate and TICS 2016 my first crisis. Now I am a proud member of the team that will bring you TICS 2017.
